Twixters
If you wanna validate something, give it some class, make it cool, or make it trendy, give it a LABEL. “Twixter” is the new label for those twenty-somethings who are neither children nor grownups, who act and talk and live life as if they’re still teenagers.
Here’s the TIME Magazine link.
Now that TIME Magazine has officially called them something, guess what folks, more un-grownups who have no direction in life are gonna want to be like them. Soon there’ll be twixter online forums and discussion groups, twixter t-shirts and coffee mugs, twixter board games, even twixter greeting cards. Wait a week and you’ll see a twixter piece on Access Hollywood. Oh God, they’re gonna resurrect Corey Haim.
Geeks with laptops became “road warriors”. Men who like manicures became “metrosexuals”. Women who enjoyed riding stationary bikes became “spinners”. Now we got this.
Enough already! Why can’t we just call irresponsible adults who won’t grow up what they really are:
Irresponsible adults who won’t grow up.
And if you want to shorten the above phrase, just call them:
Losers.
