Reinforcement
The more unhealthy something is, the more it needs reinforcement.
For example, you don’t often see expensive, extravagant commercials for Toyota, Honda, and Nissan, manufacturers that make cars that are dependable, get good mileage, and last a long time. They also don’t offer huge discounts, rebates, or incentives on their cars.
They don’t have to.
Same with what one should do to live a healthy life. There aren’t many commercials or public service announcements for living by the golden rule, or being polite, or making healthy choices. Those commercials don’t need to be made.
What commercials do you see? What advertisements do you hear? What products have the most advertising?
People who live healthy lives don’t need reinforcement to continue living their healthy lives. They don’t need acceptance from others, don’t need to impress anyone, and they don’t need to go somewhere, or join clubs, to find others who also need reinforcement for their actions.
Most things that are healthy don’t need reinforcement. They just are.
